What is your opinion about the unemployment of engineering graduates?

First its very long and second its personal opinion,so show some empathy. 1.Lack of Interest/knowledge :- Most of the students taking admission in engineering colleges are following the masses action (everyone is doing it so why shouldn't I) or because of parental pressure. People have no interest about the field, and opt for something in which they have no knowledge. These two combination makes you graduate after four years not engineer. ( those who know/love to solve problems and have keen interest) So in the end an unemployed engineer who will change his stream after four years. Like banking, passion, photography, actor, comedian, management, government services, etc. Lack of interest leads to lower in happiness index (one of many reason of lower rank in happiness index) 2.Not so good colleges :- I'm not gonna degraded well funded Govt institutes (Faculty, infrastructure, and opportunities makes them little different), Its about those in

The following are the main causes of unemployment: (i) Limited land: Land is the gift of nature. It is always constant and cannot expand like population growth. Since, India population increasing rapidly, therefore, the land is not sufficient for the growing population. As a result, there is heavy pressure on the land. In rural areas, most of the people depend directly on land for their livelihood. Land is very limited in comparison to population. It creates the unemployment situation for a large number of persons who depend on agriculture in rural areas. MOST OF youths in India have this trend of joining engineering or medical colleges after opting for science in 11th or 12th .
